MORTEM AMARE is a discord based, 18+, multifandom, oc friendly roleplay group centering around ST. AMORRA COLLEGE, an All-Girls Academia located in a strange island. Here, muses live in dorms and attend their daily classes, but also attend masses for the world's God named Love. Furthermore, they are taught to defend for themself with weapons, regardless of what course. Yet, everyone who lives here sees this as the norm. No one dares question it, nor does anyone speak up against the headmaster....But as you traverse the island further, you discover that there's much more to this place than you had thought. Scriptures of your supposed God, a handful of human sacrifices, records of cannibalism, otherwordly monsters that start to invade the earth... The server follows a three strike system. Meaning you will get a warning first, and then a temporary ban for a day before you will finally be kicked. Take note that every strike will be carefully observed and decided by the moderators.

Once you have been found that you have been lying about your age, you will be instantly banned, no questions.🦋 Hateful speech, slurs, and the like are prohibited in this server, even the ones that you can reclaim. 🦋 This is my first time roleplaying, will it be alright to join still?Absolutely! We encourage people who have not roleplayed before to write with us as it can be a very fun hobby.🦋 Can my character die/be injured?Death is heavily present throughout the story. This may happen during failures of battles, entrance within traps, or other methods such as drowning, burning, and the like. This will all depend on a rolling system that is explained further in the rolling guide found within the ﹒forms﹒guide ....But fear not. You'll live again. Just with a price. Her remnants still linger... and She is ever merciful. She may not love you anymore, but that's only what She tries to tell Herself.🦋 How many majors and clubs can we take at the same time?A maximum of one major can only be taken and two clubs. This is so that no one is too overpowered, as both clubs and majors can affect the characters' skills.🦋 Are we able to app non-humans?Yes! As long as they are able to communicate with others, then it will do. However, applying entities such as gods, concepts and the like will need to be nerfed down significantly as the characters here are seen as worshippers to an already existing God. You are also able to write non-humans as gijinkas/personified such as characters from mlp and whatnot!🦋 Are we able to app ‘genderbends’ of a character?This will depend. While it is okay to app a character who is male in canon but is headcanoned otherwise, genderbending as in cisbends to solely fit them in won’t be allowed. Gender is a spectrum and fun to explore— limiting the idea that feminine/female = being afab and feminine appearing!EXAMPLES

Companions such as Oz from Genshin Impact for Fischl will be allowed, but if the character can live without their companion, then it is best that they do not come along. However, companions such as mere pets will be accepted! They can't come in the classes, though.
🦋 Aging up a character is not allowed, but what about aging them down?You are able to write a younger version of your character if they wish to be in their younger ages or age where they were attending college, as long as they are 18+. But, you may also keep their canon age!🦋Are we allowed to write roles other than the students?Yes! You are allowed to write professors too. They earn an instant +5 skill points depending on the subject that they teach, and can earn more through prayer, practice of weapons, etc.🦋What happens if we try to leave the island?The island is very far from the mainland. But if your character has a high enough swimming skill, let's say around 10 points, then by all means... fuck around and find out.🦋How did my character get here?Muses will live their life as if they’ve existed in this world from the start. You will write your M.A background to fit as such, but you are able to mention past memories of their original universe. Simply put— They are not isekai’d. This goes the same for Original Characters if they have original verses.They will enroll in the college themselves. It is an extremely difficult college to get into, and is well known to the general public as it is considered a historical place— yet those who live beyond do not truly know why. They only know of the island and school’s existence.They can either come from the mainland or the island itself, via the orphanage. Orphans will leave the island momentarily to explore the outside world and have their Highschool years in the mainland and may return to the island for their college years.🦋Where is the island located?Somewhere in between South Asia and Southeast Asia roughly. The island is very discreet, and transporting over to it is only doable by the official ships that the school funds. Main transport docks start at Singpore, India, and Thailand with it’s main dock located at The Philippines as it is Amorra’s homeland.🦋My character has x ability or x weapon, am I able to use them still?This will depend, as most weapons are confiscated upon arrival. As for abilities, characters will be nerfed if seen as a threat. But for the most part, they're able to keep small weapons or abilities, such as flying, shapeshifting, etc. and will have a small boost to rolling. If you are unsure, ask a mod about it!🦋My character applied late to when things started. Is that alright?
Yes! You are free to write as any progression of you character, as there will be a provided TLDR of previous chapters. You do not need to make your character be a first year upon arrival!🦋How does the religion of Love work/The religion in this world?
Love’s has Very heavy references to Catholicism but not directly. There are no heavy, specific practices— only that you pray to Her and love her wholly. She is the “God” of this world, meaning She is the creator. The concept relies on Her being a “dead” God, to not spoil too much. If you are familiar with Sylvian from Fear and Hunger, She is similar to that!If you have any other questions, a moderator can happily help you in ﹒character-help !
UPON
ENTRANCE.
Your character, depending on whatever circumstance, will be enrolled in ST. AMORRA COLLEGE to accomplish their studies. They will enter via a ship that transports students from the mainland to the island, passing through a thick fog. As they enter, they will immediately be aware of the world's God, Love, of whom they previously have no memories of. They will remember Her as if they've known Her their whole life.They can either be residents outside the island or they have been previous residents in the orphanage present within the island, to which they have left the island briefly and have returned to the college.
This is not reversible.
She is all that you know. You remember Her holiness, Her divinity, Her love so vividly.
You feel a cold, stinging presence embrace you as you've reached the island.
They will be assigned a dorm randomly depending. They will attend classes, practice their weapon skills, and attend masses dedicated to their God. Depending on what your character does, you will be able to accumulate points that help you traverse the world more. Secrets such as temples, hidden areas, and previous history of the world around you will unravel as you gain more points.:butterfly~1: Your character will receive a phone for communication. It's internet access is strictly only able to access sites that are made for the school, and you are unable to view information of the world outside you, nor are you able to contact people outside the school.
